1. The short version
regexhome runs entirely in your browser. The patterns you write and the text you test against are never uploaded to a server, never stored in a database, and never shared with anyone.
You can use regexhome without creating an account, so we hold no personal profile about you at all.
2. Data processed on your device
- Your regex patterns and test text: Processed strictly in-memory inside your local web browser session.
- Saved patterns and test suites: Stored inside your browser's
localStorage. They never leave your device unless you export them to JSON yourself. - Theme and display preferences: Kept in local storage so your chosen mode (dark, light, or system) persists on reload.
3. Information you send us voluntarily
If you contact us via our Contact Form or by email, we receive the name, email address, and message content you provide. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry and do not sell or add your email to marketing distribution lists.
5. Third-party services
Fonts and icon stylesheets are served via standard CDNs (Google Fonts, cdnjs). These CDNs may process basic HTTP request metadata (such as IP address) to serve font binaries efficiently.
6. Security
Because your test data never leaves your browser, sensitive data like authorization tokens, API keys, or production logs tested inside regexhome cannot be intercepted on our servers or exposed through server breach vulnerabilities.
7. Children's privacy
regexhome is a general-audience developer workbench and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
8. Your rights
You have complete control over all data saved by regexhome. You can wipe all patterns and test suites at any moment by clicking "Clear everything" in the workbench or clearing your browser's local site storage.
